Unit II Lady Willingdon Hospital Lahore, headed by Prof. M. Arshad Chohan, is famous for carrying out multiple academic activities. It is acting as a shower of knowledge and training not only for the doctors of this unit, but also for all those who want to excel in the field of gynecology. Teaching program is continuously being running in the department, in the form of Wednesday and Saturday sessions.
Wednesday session is based on presentations on various topics of gynecology and obstetrics by the post-graduate trainees, and is playing a pivotal role in the grooming of the trainees in terms of knowledge and confidence building.
Saturday session is based on testing the knowledge and writing skills to attempt questions based on the pattern of examination. This includes Short essay questions and TOACS. All the candidates are evaluated and given marks according to the standard examination criteria. The key to the questions is then discussed once the result is displayed. This test session has shown a gradual progress in the performance of the candidates, and their writing skills have improved.
The idea that Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another is well interpreted by the worthy Prof. M. Arshad Chohan, and now this mode of training is opened for everyone across the country or abroad. Now, anyone can be a part of this training program.
